What does the change in provisions relate to?
In paragraphs 2-5 of the amended Art. 48 of the Data Protection Act, allowing for data transfer to a third country which does not ensure an adequate level of personal data protection in its territory (hereinafter referred to as third country), provided that GIODO has given consent to it, situations are specified in which obtaining the above consent is not required any more, and the mode of approval by GIODO of the new instrument ensuring adequate safeguards of the rights and obligations of the data subjects, i.e. binding corporate rules, is regulated.
